一、失敗案例

小劉同學(xué)外語不錯(cuò)，一直都非常自信。在面試之前他精心做了準(zhǔn)備，希望可以展現(xiàn)出自己的實(shí)力。但是面試的時(shí)候，老師意外地沒有讓他用英文做自我介紹，只是用英語問了他幾個(gè)專業(yè)方面的問題，而這方面他并不熟悉。眼看面試就要接近尾聲，小劉越來越懊惱和沮喪：自己精心準(zhǔn)備的自我介紹還沒有機(jī)會展現(xiàn)出來!而自己在英文方面的能力和優(yōu)勢也得不到體現(xiàn)!終于，在老師示意他可以離開的時(shí)候，他說：“可以給我一點(diǎn)時(shí)間嗎?我準(zhǔn)備了英文的自我介紹和一段經(jīng)典英文詩歌，我想朗誦給各位老師聽一聽”。可是老師們只是客氣地表示欣賞，委婉地拒絕了小劉的要求，可想而知，非但精心準(zhǔn)備的部分沒能展示，對專業(yè)知識英文表達(dá)的欠缺也嚴(yán)重影響了口試成績，結(jié)果失敗了。

【點(diǎn)評】面試并沒有一定的規(guī)則。你在面試前所做的"準(zhǔn)備并不一定都用得著，而你沒有準(zhǔn)備的東西老師未必就不會問。重要的是要靈活應(yīng)對，不要刻意表現(xiàn)。一般進(jìn)行外語口語面試的老師都是英語非常好的人，幾個(gè)回合下來大概已經(jīng)可以判斷出你的發(fā)音準(zhǔn)確與否以及口語表達(dá)水平。硬要畫蛇添足，未免給人虛假做作之感。

老師問：Can you briefly introduce yourself and give me some reasons for why you choice our university?

答：First, let me introduce myself to you. (又補(bǔ)I am glad to meet you) My name is XXX. I come from Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province. I have been studying in the forestry department of Shanxi Agricultural University since 2001. I am open-minded, quick in thought and very fond of history. In my spare time, I have broad interests like all the other young people, frequently I communicate with other people by making comments in the forum on line. I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning.

The university is one of the most famous universities in the Shenyang province, it has massive academically environment. It develops into a comprehensive university with efforts of generations, more and more people focus on it. At the time, it takes the lead among the universities with nice teaching and scientific research ability. There are teaching research experimental bases, for example, the computer center, analyzing-test center, modern education technical center and so on. Moreover, it owns many well-known professors. 【現(xiàn)身說法】

可取之處：盡管我在英語口語表達(dá)上并沒有做到最優(yōu)秀，但是在考場中我沒有犯沉默這一大忌，而是盡自己最大的能力去與老師溝通，讓老師明白盡管現(xiàn)在的我不是最優(yōu)秀的，但是我敢于去表達(dá)。同時(shí)在這一過程中，也讓老師對我純正的口語發(fā)音留下印象，所以最后還是拿到了公費(fèi)。一切事在人為。

不足之處：沒有表達(dá)出我在林學(xué)這一方面的優(yōu)勢，這是最大的缺點(diǎn)，在將近五分鐘的表達(dá)過程中沒有提到一個(gè)專業(yè)術(shù)語。

【考場支招】

口語面試中自我介紹是必須要準(zhǔn)備的，一般包括：名字，原來畢業(yè)的院校，平時(shí)的愛好興趣，現(xiàn)在報(bào)考的專業(yè)，為什么報(bào)考該專業(yè)，你對該專業(yè)的認(rèn)識，簡短評價(jià)該專業(yè)的發(fā)展前景，以及準(zhǔn)備以怎樣的態(tài)度去研究該專業(yè)等等。自我介紹最好能提前寫好、背好，大概500字左右，可陳述2～3分鐘。如果自我介紹比較充分，那么老師對你的提問就會少一點(diǎn)，即使在對答中有所閃失，前面流利的英文介紹也可以保證你過關(guān)。如果你的英文水平很好，那么這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)確實(shí)會為你增分不少。但也要注意適度，不要過分表現(xiàn)。

考生和導(dǎo)師面對面交流時(shí)，要注意克服大部分人“啞巴外語”的障礙，不要緊張。即使你的口語很差，這時(shí)你也要表現(xiàn)出信心和勇氣，因?yàn)閺?fù)試時(shí)坐在你對面的老師是中國人，他們會理解你和你那不純熟的中國式外語的。
